Perturbation theory for O(3) topological charge correlators
To check the consistency of positivity requirements for the two-point correlation function of the topological charge density, which were identified in a previous paper, we are computing perturbatively this twopoint correlation function in the two-dimensional O(3) model. We find that at the one-loop level these requirements are fulfilled.
متن کاملMatching Current Correlators in Lattice QCD to Chiral Perturbation Theory
Chiral perturbation theory gives direct and unambiguous predictions for the form of various two-point hadronic correlators at low momentum in terms of a finite set of couplings in a chiral Lagrangian. In this paper we study the feasibility of extracting the couplings in the chiral Lagrangian (through 1-loop order) by fitting two-point correlators computed in lattice QCD to the predicted chiral ...
متن کاملTopological susceptibility in staggered fermion chiral perturbation theory
Abstract The topological susceptibility of the vacuum in quantum chromodynamics has been simulated numerically using the Asqtad improved staggered fermion formalism. At nonzero lattice spacing the residual fermion doublers (fermion “tastes”) in the staggered fermion formalism give contributions to the susceptibility that deviate from conventional continuum chiral perturbation theory. In this br...
متن کاملColor Confinement in Perturbation Theory from a Topological Model
Color confinement by the mechanism of Kugo and Ojima can treat confinement of any quantized color carrying fields including dynamical quarks. However, the non-perturbative condition for this confinement has been known to be satisfied only in the pure-gauge model (PGM), which is a topological model without physical degrees of freedom. Here we analyze the Yang-Mills theory by adding physical degr...
متن کاملCharge Transfer from Regularized Symmetry-Adapted Perturbation Theory.
The charge-transfer (CT) together with the polarization energy appears at second and higher orders in symmetry-adapted perturbation theory (SAPT). At present there is no theoretically compelling way of isolating the charge-transfer energy that is simultaneously basis-set independent and applicable for arbitrary intermolecular separation. We argue that the charge-transfer can be interpreted as a...
